SpaceX spaceports at sea

Elon Musk and his company is working over the ages in space research and are planning to make the space more reachable for the humans, human colony on mars and also regular trips to moon. These all can be done with the help of Starship and the super heavy launching pads.
For these they are planning to create spaceports at sea that allows launchings and landings easily. Elon Musk recently purchased two oil drilling rigs in the coast of Texas and it has been given the nickname of Phobos and Deimos based on the two mars satellites. These oil drilling rigs are undergoing some changes for future Starship launches to mars.
They are planning this for years but they are looking for some experienced crane operators, electricians, and engineers that helps them in their plans about launching the Starship from floating spaceports. They have published this on SpaceX website and also posted opening for jobs to develop the Starship.

The locations of job postings were Brownsville, Texas, the closest town to SpaceX’s Boca Chica Launch Facility and also Musk has tweeted about the confirmation of building floating, superheavy-class spaceports that allows regular and fast trips to moon, mars and earth. Not to disturb the densely populated areas we have decided to go far away for launching and landings on spaceport.
On 18th January, Jack Beyer an aerospace launch photographer said that when he was inspecting the ports of Brownsville he had gather up some of the hearsay about that platform. He heard that the spaceport is named as Phobos and Deimos and the name was given after the two moon of mars.

Michael Baylor of NASA Spaceflight’s said that the rigs which were formerly known as Valaris ENSCO 8500 and ENSCO 8501 would properly be named after the mars twins. SpaceX has been providing the service of drone ships for years and spending a lot of years in recovering the company is now going to conduct launching and landing at sea for the first time.
SpaceX is not the only one who provides the on sea launching facilities, china has also been in this race for long and are working on their floating spaceport located in the coast of Haiyang city of Shandong. After its completion the spaceport is given the name Eastern Aerospace Port which is the fourth spaceport of china and the only one which is located inside the country.
The main benefit of spaceport at sea is it provides facilities like inland launch for the starters that often results in burn out stages when falling back to earth. The burn out stages can damage in many ways to the populated areas with hazardous chemicals.

SpaceX avoid this kind of danger obstacles by launching their Starship from Boca Chica and Cape Canaveral hoping to conduct a regular super heavy launches. Musk also stated that this existing launch systems will have a significant noise problem but once the working of new system completes its working with 28 raptor engines it will solve the noise problem.
Musk’s long term plan includes regular launches which demands wide range of launching pads for the blast areas which takes care of noise problem. It also includes orbital refueling for regular trips to mars if in case if we need to refuel any Starship carrying passenger or payload version to the orbit and for this we need to modify the tanker version of the Starship.
